Las Vegas

Last weekend we made a trip out to Las Vegas to help Nate's sister and her husband move. Nate's mom was able to watch Rem while we went so we also made a mini vacation out of it. We were only there for 2 nights but it was nice to have that time to ourselves.

The first day we helped move. We couldn't check in to our hotel till 4pm. We stayed at Grandview. We really liked it except for the fact it was a timeshare hotel so they tried to get you to go to one of those meetings to convince you to buy a timeshare. No, thanks! We don't want to sit in a meeting awhile we are on vacation. Other than that the hotel was GREAT.

That night we went down to the strip and ate at the rainforest cafe. We also saw the water show & gardens at the Belliago. It was really pretty to watch and see. We didn't get back to our hotel till 2am. I was dead tired by then.

The next morning we slept in of course. :) Then we got some Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. I was so excited to get them because we don't have a Dunkin close to us. I miss those donuts! After breakfast, we went to the outlets. We bought some pj's for Rem since the ones he has is getting way short for him. Nate also got a pair of shorts for himself & I got a Las Vegas Magnet (I collect magnets from each state). We rested a bit after the outlets then we went to a Buffet on the strip. We also went to the M&M factory. After that we went back to our hotel room & watched a movie and ate some popcorn.

Before we left for home we had to get a picture in front of the welcome to Las Vegas sign. As we drove home we also stopped by the St. George temple and got some pictures. It was a wonderful mini vacation. We are sad that Julie & Jake live so far now. :( We will be back to visit though.
