Thanksgiving!

Our Thanksgiving went really well! Like I said in a previous post we had Nates family over. Nate made a delicious turkey! Remington's favorite part was the pumpkin pie! It felt like his birthday all over :)

On friday and saturday, we spent time w/ my grandparents. We saw the lights at temple square, took pictures for our Christmas card, and played games. It was a ton of fun other than the fact that we had to drive in traffic on Saturday due to the Utah Vs. BYU game! BYU won!

I'm getting pretty good at my driving and I think I will be ready to take the test on the 6th! Hopefully I will pass so I don't have to drive around illegally anymore. I get nervous everytime a cop passes by me! I'm gonna practice a TON this weekend!

As far as school goes, I've decided not to do the MA program. Through research, I've noticed that they really don't make much money. So I think I'm gonna go to school to be a Pharmacy Tech. They make pretty good money. Where I'll be going to school has evening classes too, so Nate will be able to watch Rem and we won't have to pay for daycare. Classes start January 28th.

This coming weekend is our anniversary! Yay! We have been married for 2 wonderful years! To celebrate we are gonna let Nates parents watch Rem for the weekend! Nate and I are just going to stay home, but it will be nice to be alone! I think we are gonna end up spending a lot of time driving though so I can feel prepared for my drivers test.

I've decided that I'm gonna go back to school to be a MA in January. Now I just need to find someone to watch Remington from 11-3 every day. Its going be REALLY tight for us, but I think getting this training will help us in the long run. I know if I went back to work now, I wouldn't get paid anything (cause of the cost of daycare). I could work when Nate gets home from work, but then I would never see him plus some days he doesn't get home till late anyways.

For thanksgiving, we are inviting Nates family over! We are excited about our first Thanksgiving in our new home!

1. I'm a wife and a mom! Its the greatest job EVER! I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful/understand husband and an easy going baby! Both of them have been HUGE blessings in my life.

2. Soon to be student (once again)! Sometime in January I am planning on going back to school at the local technical college to get a degree in Medical Assisting! I'm way excited about it! I will miss my little Rem though! I'll only be away for 3 hrs a day so it won't be that bad!

3. I'll hopefully :) be a licensed driver next month! Keeping my fingers crossed that I will pass the drivers test!

4. I'm learning things I thought I'd never be able to do! Especially cross stitching!

5. I love church! Even though we struggle w/ going sometimes, when I am actually there I love it! I love feeling and being close to the Spirit!

6. Last, I LOVE SHOPPING! This is one of the reasons I'm going back to school so I can get a good job to be able to afford this habit of mine!!!!! My favorite stores are AE, Pacsun, Quilted Bear, and Lowes!

Remingtons Birthday Party!

On November 6th, we had Remingtons b-day party! I can't believe he is one now! Everyone (including Rem) had a good time at his party! He loved everyone singing happy birthday to him! It took him a few minutes to figure out the whole cake thing, but once he did he gobbled the whole thing up! Oh and he got spoiled w/ lots and lots of gifts! I'll post a few pictures of his party but if anyone wants to see ALL the photos just let me know then I'll send them your way.

I've been getting better and better at my driving, but I think I still need more practice. I have been able to drive to places (grocery store and church) by myself. Also I need to change the time of my driving test cause no one is able to take me there in the afternoon. I need to get a morning time slot. I think I'm gonna take some private lessons as well cause I think an instructor would be easier to learn from.

Other than that nothing else has been going on. We are excited for the upcoming holidays though!

Happy Belated Halloween!

I know Halloween has come and gone, but I need to post some pictures from the occasion. Rem was cute as always! His very first Halloween. We ended up going to my grandparents house and just chatted for a bit!

No big updates for us! I haven't gotten my lab results back yet. Hopefully they will find something so I don't have to go in for a colonoscopy. My thyroid dr did put me back on hormone replacement. I really hope I can get those numbers back to normal. Even though the medicine makes my thyroid feel like its swelling and sometimes I get palps from it. I think I just need to get used to the medicine again.

I will be back in a few days, since Remington is having his birthday party on Tuesday! Yay for Birthdays!
