Proud Mommy

Today was Remington's BIG day! He gave his first talk in Primary. I was so worried that he would be so shy that he would refuse to talk. When we got up there, I whispered every word in his hear and he said it all! :) He whispered half of it, but he did so well.

For those who want to read his talk:

Jesus is God's son. I love Jesus. Jesus loves me. I am thankful for Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

After Rem gave his talk, I walked away feeling so proud of him that I had tears in my eyes. I really do love him lots even on days I want to strangle him. :)

I love to run!

People probably wonder "why does she run" when they see me. I have to say there are so many other benefits to running then just losing weight.

I run because:
- It makes me feel good about myself
-my body just works better
-its my "ME" time
-I love setting short/long term goals for myself
-makes me feel stronger

I LOVE running! I'm not very fast, but then again I am only 4'11" which slows me down a bit. LOL! I'm not sure if I could blame my height on my slow pace. This year, I've made it a goal to be physically fit. I started running in September & plan on keeping up with it. I hope to run several 5K's, a couple 10K's, and a 1/2 marathon this year. If you look off to the side of my blog, you will see a list of races I hope to run this year. Anyone is welcome to join me!!!!

Talk confusion :)

When we picked Rem up from Sunbeams today, we got this:


When I look at it my thought was "they want Rem to give a talk in Sacrament". I started feeling a little anxious because I can't imagine Remington giving a talk during sacrament meeting. As we were driving home, I mentioned to Nate how its going to be hard for Rem to talk during sacrament. LOL! Thats when he told me the talk would be in Primary. Haha! Phew! Being a convert I have no idea about this stuff. Thank goodness I have a husband that grew up in the Church so he knows how everything goes.

The new DO! - Locks of LOVE

I have been growing out my hair for the past YEAR so I could donate to Locks of Love. I finally had it long enough & got it cut/highlighted today. I had a pretty awesome hair dresser do it! (Thanks Kate) I LOVE LOVE it!!!!
